I’m glad Jeremy Lin & the Knicks kept their winning ways going tonight. And now we finally moved up to 8th.

Dreams

I had a weird dream where basically I stole a rock from my family, and I came up with the idea to tell them I accidentally forgot to put it back so this way I could steal a better one.  It was stupid, and I told my brother to wait a minute while I did that.  But I had problems doing this, and it ended up taking a couple hours to get done.  When I came back to my brother he was really angry that I made him wait, and I felt really bad.

One Year Ago Today

This was the first day that I started talking about the trade rumors surrounding Carmelo Anthony going to the Nets.  I said that I believed my step-dad more and more when he said that he’d go to the Knicks one way or another, and of course that’s what did happen.  I also talked about how wanting to become a professional poker player is similar but also not similar to becoming a famous actor or musician.  In those two latter fields there are tons of people who think they are good enough to make it, but only the best get recognized and make it big.  But in poker, while it’s true that only the minority make it big in the long run, you don’t have to be one of the best to make any money.  It’s the weaker players who don’t evaluate their play that consistently lose to the ones who study the game and have an edge.  That’s why I don’t consider my dream of playing poker professionally as a silly pipe dream as when I wanted to become an actor, because it really isn’t that hard to make a couple hundred dollars a week at poker.  If you keep playing and keep learning you’ll get there.

My Day

I slept in  until 3pm today because I went to bed really early this morning.  I didn’t feel like going anywhere so I just stayed in and watched basketball.  I watched the Knicks/Lakers game from last night so I could see Jeremy Lin dominate, and then a little later was the Knicks/Timberwolves game.  I had to find the game online because it wasn’t shown on TV, and thankfully I did and the link held up pretty well the whole game.  I’m happy that Jeremy Lin had another 20-point game, and that the Knicks kept their winning streak alive.

I had French toast for breakfast, and then had a late dinner.  I finally made these cheesy noodles I bought like six months ago, and I made both packages which proved to be way too much.  It was alright, but just noodles gets boring.  I also had some leftovers so that mixed it up.  Then I watched a new SNL hosted by Zooey Deschanel, and it was awesome to see her host.  Now I’m going to bed early for church tomorrow.  Thanks for reading, and “What’s the point?  When I like them they don’t like me, and when they like me I don’t…like…them.”
