I enjoyed watching the Knicks on TV the last 3 days. We only won one of the games, but my boys played hard.
Dreams
I had a dream where we had a new fridge, and it was the same as an old dream. It had a small freezer on the very bottom which had small bottles of alcohol, but is really for like ice cube trays. Then it had a big inside part, and inside that there was the freezer on top. Inside that was another door with a separate freezer, and I really liked how there were separate sections like that.
Related to this, I was talking to my mom about how filled our fridge is. My step-dad bought six new half-gallons of milk, and we already had three unopened ones in there (plus two opened ones). That’s entirely too much milk, but he loves getting a deal. Then my mom bought tons of stuff and filled the other crevices of the fridge. I said that I barely had room for my Mountain Dew and green tea, and she mentioned offhand that I should get another mini-fridge. She’s right, so I may do that. I’d be able to keep my green tea, Mountain Dew, and root beer in my room, and I could always keep it for a new apartment down the (hopefully not too long) road. It’d also be nice to have one for poker, but I don’t know.
One Year Ago Today
I watched the movie Rosemary’s Baby after hearing it referenced on Seinfeld, and it was pretty good.
Thoughts
I think I’ll finally talk about the show Malcolm in the Middle that I’ve been watching through. It’s about an extremely dysfunctional family, narrated by Malcolm who is a young genius. The parents are crazy, with a father who is weird but a loving father and husband and a mother who is a master at yelling and controlling her children. Their oldest son doesn’t live with them, and he was originally sent to military school until he emancipated himself at 18. He then moved around and got married, and I like how each episode has a story for him as well as the general stuff for the rest of the family. Then there’s Reese who is a bully and an idiot, Malcolm who is one year younger (by Season 4 they’re sophomore and freshmen respectively), and Dewey who is the cute youngest son. At this point the mother is pregnant again, which I always thought was coming because Malcolm should be the literal middle child but the oldest one messed that up.
When the show started it was kind of a kids’ show because of all of Malcolm’s weird friends and stuff, but it seems pretty adult now (not in the sexual way). One thing about that show is that I’ve seen tons of actors who went on to do more famous things after this show. I just saw an episode with Hayden Panettiere which was weird to see since she was so young. There were a few others that were less-known, but it was cool to see them so young.
Admittedly this is kind of weird, but sometimes there will be a young girl on the show and I’ll have a hunch that she’s probably good-looking now since it’s about 10 years later. It’s kind of like how my dad would point out young girls and say to me, “No, no, for you.” The biggest example in the show is Tania Raymonde, who played Malcolm’s weird friend Cynthia. I just knew she’d be attractive now, so I looked her up and I was right. I read that she played Alex Rousseau on Lost, so I’ll definitely be checking out that show later. Anyway, it’s an enjoyable show and I’m glad I decided to start watching it.
My Day
I was awakened by a phone call from Andrew around 12:30, and it was nice to talk with him and it got me up. I showered and had breakfast, then watched Thursday’s NBC shows which were pretty good. Then I got caught up on my Hulu shows, and I watched a bunch of Malcolm. I got to watch the Knicks game on TV because they played the Nets, which airs on YES so I got to see it. Thankfully we finally won a game, and Jeremy Lin had a great game so I’m really happy for him. He probably earned himself a permanent spot in the rotation as our point guard. Then I watched a new SNL, and now bed early so I can finally go to church. So thanks for reading, and “How many sides to a stop sign? Eight! That’s just a little too close to the number of judges on the Supreme Court for this citizen!”
