The more I spend time playing poker at other casinos, the more I learn how to be a better dealer. Win-win.
Dreams
I had a dream where there was some big trade in the NBA, and I guess a lot or all of my favorite players from the Knicks were traded away. So I became a Sixers fan because Stoudemire and the rest of them were traded there, and I was wearing their jersey and talking about it with other people. It was kind of cool because my team was now leading the division and second in the Eastern Conference. This dream came from thinking about how weird it must be for a player to be traded midseason, and suddenly go from a team that might not be doing that well to one that is doing great (or vice versa of course). But in reality I would never forsake my Knicks for another team.
One Year Ago Today
This was the day I finished Zelda: Oracle of Ages. I think I’d like to play through that and Oracle of Seasons again, but I really should finish my Pokemon game. Lately I just haven’t had time to play any of them really, but that’s good. I’ve been busy making money with work and playing poker, so it’s not like school or anything stupid (not that school is stupid) is keeping me from it. In meaningless world news, I learned that a 13th Zodiac sign was introduced today. Coincidentally a few days before I watched an episode of The Universe about constellations that talked about it, and they said that maybe someday they’ll make it official. That day was around this time last year. People were freaking out about the change, and for whatever reason I too was upset that I was now a Capricorn instead of an Aquarius.
My Day
I woke up a little bit after my alarm and showered, and my dad stopped by for a little bit before I went to work. It wasn’t all that busy, but I got lucky to have maybe the best run possible. I started at a tournament but it never went, and then I went to $500 max for about half a down but made $12. I went to the other $500 max table, and later I dealt $30-$60 and dealt tons of hands and made a dollar from almost every hand.
I dealt two tournament downs, and in the last one I busted tons of people to get the final table rolling, and I only had one limit down which was pretty good. That table broke and I went home after 6.5 hours. That was great because my tips were pretty steady and I did get one redbird, and the board was getting lame. Tables were going down so although I got lucky to have the string of two-table runs, that was about to end. So I didn’t have to stay another three downs to only deal for one of them, and I still made $123. I didn’t really have any stiffs except one guy at $30-$60 who only tipped me half the time, but there were absolutely no hassles. So work was good tonight, and now I’m going to bed around 4:30am. Thanks for reading, and remember the show KaBLaM!?
